Down Under

I know.

I can hardly believe it myself.

TWO blog posts in 48 hours!

I recently had a custom order for some indoor bunting from a lovely lady in Queensland, Australia. The brief was very specific regarding colours and came with a sweet photograph of items in her kitchen - along with a custom tea cosy I'd made her a few months ago!

Not having fabrics in those colourways, I trawled the specialist fabric shops far and wide to find just the right combination of patterns and colours to complement her kitchen.

I  eventually settled on some fabulous fabrics from  Tanya Whelan and Cath Kidston in soft fresh, patterns and used one of my own very precious vintage Liberty Tana Lawn fabrics from the 1980's.

Orange and blue seems to complement the Aussie lifestyle of Sun and water.

Each flag was customised with a contrasting applique heart and a carefully chosen vintage button from my precious collection.

The bunting  was posted out a couple of weeks ago and as with all my custom orders, I waited with bated breath.

Made with Love

This morning I received an email from Australia  showing the bunting in situ!

I LOVE my customers!
