Busy as a Bee

Chuffed with myself! And why, you may ask?

To cut a long story short - it's the  Shed - again. There's only so much you can get into it's miniscule space.

As much as I love it, it was gradually being taken over by cardboard boxes, plastic bags and general tat associated with being a maker, much of which was stashed under chairs and in corners. It got to the point where I didn't want to be there and I'm sure it brought a halt to any creativity that might still be lurking somewhere in the gloopy swamp of my brain. It therefore called for serious measures, especially as I'd seen the lovely Claire Henley's studio a few months back and was shamed into action.

A trip to Ikea solved all my storage problems. Once shelving was erected - (Ahem! I'd like to point out I built all the Billy bookshelves myself!) - it was a weight lifted off my shoulders AND there was even room for a plethora of junk shop finds that serve no particular purpose apart from being decorative...and I like them.

As you know I'm not a tidy person by nature, far from it - but it's right what they say - being organised makes you more efficient. And my creative mojo has returned - for the time being.
I wonder how long it's going to last? (The tidiness, that is.)
Bets now being taken.

  1. STOP IT! This looks FAR too gorgeous. And how you can mention my shambolic heap of rubbish in the same breath I have NO idea. What a lot of gorgeous bits and bobs you have (oo er misses) - I'm sure you'll be totally inspired to create even more scrummy stuff. See you soon ;-)

  2. Thanks Claire! Your studio is NOT a heap of rubbish, I found it most inspirational!
